Arugambay Travels Hotels ( Pvt ) Limited was registered under Sri Lanka Company act No. 7 of 2007 on 30th April 2009 with the registration Number PV/67693The company started its construction works in a prime land with an extent of 400perches located in Sinna Ullai in Arugambay which is 100 metres from Arugambay Pottuvil Highway. This hotel project is the only BOI (Board of Investment of Sri Lanka) approved project in Arugambay. This was approved under section 17 of the BOI Law of Sri Lanka. This is going to be only one 3 star hotel in Arugambay. The complete hotel is going to have 150 rooms, a swimming pool, Spa, Conference Hall, Sports Gym, Restaurant Bar, and a much needed hotel training Centre
The first phase of the project is to build 24 rooms, a Spa, a Restaurant Bar, and a Conference Hall.
In this process, 400 perches of land of free hold was purchased, the entire land was completely filled, the main hotel building was stopped half way due to shortage of funds and lack of sources for funds.
